Old Time Radio

It’s one of my deepest, darkest secrets. Maybe it’s a psychosis, I don’t know. Make of it what you will; I am unusually nostalgic. By “unusual” I mean “Man! That dude’s REALLY weird!”
How deep does the trouble go? Well, I listen to Big Band music quite a bit, and sometimes even 30’s or 20’s music. I love old cars, old TV shows, old advertisements, old houses, etc. I collect antique radios, antique books, WWII memorabilia from both sides, old photographs of people I don’t know, old signs, antique tools, etc.
I even like old things when I have no interest in their modern counterparts, e.g., I don’t care about fashion at all, but I follow The Houndstooth Kid. Furniture really doesn’t interest me much unless it’s antique.
But perhaps the nostalgic indulgence of which I partake the most is listening to old time radio. I’ve collected thousands of episodes of scores of programs. I also enjoy some other OTR fans’ streaming audio, which is the point of this post; I’d like to share some of my favorite OTR streams with you.
Each of these streams will open either in WinAmp or Windows Media Player or maybe your browser. It depends on your computer’s settings. If it opens in your browser but gives you an error, try pasting the URL into Windows Media Player or WinAmp. I prefer the latter. Happy listening!
