The FBI Raid on the Hutaree

Minute Man

Closed warrants?!? Tell us, oh transparent government, why did my FBI storm the homes of members of a Michigan militia? We want to know.

Yes, the Hutaree are retarded, anti-Israel kooks, but this smells awfully bad to me. Something is terribly wrong here – just like it was in Waco, TX last decade.

This report from ABC says they were planning to kill police as a show of their hatred for the government, but that’s a pile of fecal material. If it’s not a media fabrication, it’s government spin (which is far worse.) That’s not how militias operate – even those with insane ideologies like Hutaree. This group does NOT hate the local government – I dare say several members probably ARE cops.

If by “planning to kill cops” it is meant that cops would have been killed during a raid, well, then, yeah, sure. That’s what happens when armed people are raided. That’s exactly why we should be armed. That’s why the Second Amendment exists. That’s why raids on armed people (simply because they are armed) is a very stupid idea.

I have to wonder who’s next. It could be you or me. It could be many of my friends. Maybe it’s not guns that are dangerous, but ideas. Maybe thoughts will become illegal next.

A good friend of mine said the following: “The Hutaree are nothing more than an armed group of anti-government thugs who use Christianity to defend their actions. I would think carefully about who you defend in the name of .. what? Not country.. their idea of country is essentially Christian-based Theocracy. Their site is full of hate and White Supremacist rhetoric.

“I am sorry, but some things are not OK.”

My friend then cited some posts on the Hutaree site showing that they are filthy-minded, foul mouthed, obscene, Jew-hating, black-hating white supremacist filth. I agree; They are, and it’s deplorable. THEY are deplorable for holding these ideals high.

But my friend then asked, “Is this with whom you wish to defend and ally yourselves? Groups like these are a breeding ground for the Timothy McVeighs of this country. They are our Al Qaeda.

“Any group that makes owning assault weapons a priority scares the s*** out of me. Our government is far from perfect, but it does work… even if you don’t like the directions of the current administration. The Majority voted this government into office knowing what they would attempt to accomplish. Just because you don’t like it doesn’t mean you get to stop it and install your own government. That’s what people like this want to do.”

Of course, I do not agree with Hutaree’s ideologies, particularly their anti-Israel stance, but it appears our current administration actually SHARES this trait with them.

But I also cannot agree with my FBI raiding them without provocation using closed warrants. I too am “an armed anti-government thug” according to many people. Perhaps I’m not really a thug, in that I choose to arm myself to defend myself and my people against a potential military assault; it has nothing to do with taking over the federal government. However, if the BATF were to enter my home with a “concealed warrant,” they would be wrong. PERIOD. Fourth Amendment type wrong. Fifth Amendment type wrong. This type of action MUST result in some good old fashioned Second Amendment action. To sit silently and do nothing about such a crime is to beg to become a serf. I will not sit silently.

The Second Amendment exists to insure that this type of abridgment of rights is not possible. I have a constitutional right to keep and bear arms, and I will defend that right against ANY government that tries to take it from me. This Hutaree affair may well be just another ruse which is yet another step in building up a rationale for disarming the populace. It is NOT a crime to own weapons and to practice using them proficiently – even if this practice is done with a group of fifty like-minded people. It might be scary to a government that wants unwavering control over the masses, but it is not illegal. In fact, according to the Constitution, any law made claiming that such actions are illegal is itself illegal.

Hutaree is FAR from being our Al Qaeda. They are just a bunch of yahoos, but they have rights. The actual Al Qaeda, the real enemy of the State, practices here on our soil, yet the FBI hasn’t acted against them to date.

I do not ally myself with Hutaree, but I will defend their right to bear arms, because it’s my right as well. Consequently, I DEMAND a explanation from my FBI for their raid on American citizens. None has been given at this time. If there is an actual reason, why have concealed warrants? Why have no reason stated in the media immediately after the strike? When it take days to hear about what precipitated the attacks, it seems, well, kind of made up after the fact to me.
